We Should Be Who You Call if You Endure Facial TraumaFacial trauma is a very common occurrence in today's society. And when you consider the fact that virtually everyone is walking around (and sometimes driving) with their faces buried in their phone or other electronic devices, it's a wonder that we don't all end up with busted lips and cracked teeth.

But the real question for people who have endured any type of facial trauma is what they can do about it. That's where we come in…

What is Facial Trauma?

Facial trauma is anything that has altered the appearance of the face or disrupted its functionality such as talking, chewing food, drinking liquid, or opening and closing properly, among many other symptoms. While this type of condition can affect any part of the face, we are more concerned with the mouth area specifically, and the impact it has on dental performance and appearance.

Possible Causes of Facial Trauma

There are any number of reasons that you or someone you know may have suffered facial trauma of any degree. An accident at work or while driving, or inadvertent contact with an object or another person while playing sports such as football can cause it. Practicing combat sports such as boxing, wrestling, or martial arts are also very common occurrences. Basically, anything which impacts the way you look or function in your facial region can be a cause of trauma. Even cosmetic surgery mishaps can be a mitigating factor.

If you have endured some form of facial trauma and would like to know more about how to properly treat and correct it, please don't hesitate to get in contact with our friendly and helpful staff. Simply give us a call or stop by and we will see what we can do to get this issue resolved for you.
